Accessibility is an important part of our Barony’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. To that end, we do our best to choose sites that are accessible as possible to anyone who wants to join us at an event. ThorpeWood Lodge features accessible entrances and bathrooms, but there is no elevator to travel between the Common Room on the lower floor and the Banquet Hall on the upper floor.

The venue’s staff will transport guests by motorized cart between floors as-needed. This will take guests outside in January, but we will do our best to see your comfort and safety.

All guests will be asked to use the lower floor entrance when arriving as the Banquet Hall will be closed at the start of the event. Accessibility parking will be reserved nearest the initial entrance. If a guest will be unable to use the lower entrance or travel between levels during the event, please email the Event Steward and we will arrange for that guest and up to one escort to arrive through the upper floor entrance and to park nearby.

In addition, our event will be live-streamed and amplified so that guests who are unable to join us at the venue can have an opportunity to witness the events, and so that guests in attendance will best enjoy the experience of Court.
